Verizon has a math problem.

Verizon has decided they can charge me for bandwidth that I provide on their behalf.

At my primary location the cellular service Verizon provides is spotty at best.  I have watched the service bars drop to none while my phone is sitting on my desk, or my porch, or in the middle of my yard.  I then receive the “no signal” message and a few minutes later the service returns.  This has been ongoing for years until we installed a “Network Extender”, at our own cost, and allocated bandwidth we pay for through a different provider.  Since installing this device our cellular service is acceptable and it is our bandwidth, not Verizon’s, that makes it acceptable.

Who do I invoice at Verizon for their use of my bandwidth?

Additionally, if I obtain a new phone on the Verizon “New Every Two” plan, and if I wish to retain my same feature set, I am required by Verizon to add a data plan to my phone for additional cost.  I choose not to use internet service on my phone as I have a laptop for that purpose and so I want to know why, when I only wish to connect to my Exchange server through a USB cable (no wireless) I am required to pay for a data plan, especially when it is my own bandwidth, already paid for through a different provider, that Verizon utilizes to provide me phone service?

I would like good answers to these questions.  I have tried emailing, calling, chatting, and physically visiting three different Verizon stores and each time I receive the answer that Verizon does not have a plan that fits my usage.  I want to know why I should be forced into a plan that I do not need, do not want, will not use, and for additional cost, when I already provide Verizon with “free to them” bandwidth because they cannot provide adequate service through their own network.

If someone has an good answer as to why I should be forced to pay Verizon for bandwidth I have already paid for (and provide to them) please let me know.
